This year we are going to provide many opportunities to volunteer and give back to the community. Dawn is the gal that has organized all of these wonderful opportunities for us. Each month there will be a special activity for all of the members to volunteer for and get involved.  We need help identifying  needs in the community. If you  know of a need in the community, please contact Dawn.

Every month you can sign up and help bring a meal to the Fischer House on base. The Fischer House is a house located near Madigan that allows family members to stay there while a loved one is in the hospital. The meals not only provide a practical need, but shows them that there are people who care enough about their situation to take time and make a meal for them. The meals are done the 2nd Wednesday of the month and the 4th Monday. Also, Fisher House is in need individually wrapped crackers and pop tarts. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!  October brought a successful clothing drive for the VA Hospital in Lakewood. We collected eight bags of gently used men’s clothing, coats, gloves, underwear, socks and tee-shirts. OSC members’ generous donations will provide much needed warmth and comfort to the heroes who have served before.

:November's Outreach Activity: In November, the COP will be supporting the Fisher House on Fort Lewis. We will be collecting non-perishable items such as soups (can or mixes), peanut butter, pasta, sauces, canned fruits and vegetables, tuna packets, individual pudding cups, juice boxes, pop-tarts, etc. Liquid laundry detergent, toilet paper and diapers of all sizes are also needed. You can drop off your donations at the Holiday Bazaar or at the November Social. If you need to make alternative drop off plans, please contact Dawn.
